In a distant past, an advanced civilization mastered the art of runes, magical inscriptions that could grant extraordinary powers. They applied these runes to the essence of creatures, creating powerful beings known as Rune Guardians. These Guardians were created to help and protect the civilization, but an unknown cataclysm led to the extinction of this society, leaving the Guardians hidden throughout the world.

Millennia later, modern archaeologists and scientists discovered ancient bracelets that allowed humans to communicate with and control the Guardians. These bracelets contain specific rune languages that, once mastered, allow users to capture, train, and evolve the Guardians. Without the correct language on the bracelet, a human cannot connect to a Rune.

Players, known as Guardian Hunters, take on the role of modern-day explorers, using these bracelets to find and train their Guardians. As they explore the world, they uncover secrets and fragments of history about the ancient civilization that created the Guardians, unraveling long-forgotten mysteries.

As the Guardians evolve, they can be transformed into NFTs, allowing them to be sold on a marketplace and used within "Cordis, Mortals and Legends." This creates a deep connection between the two games, offering players a unique and interconnected experience.
